Animal husbandry brings profit, but it also comes with risk. Sometimes, due to sudden illness or a natural disaster, animals may die and farmers suffer heavy financial losses. To solve this problem, the Rajasthan government has launched a relief scheme for farmers and livestock owners.
Online applications for the Mangla Pashu Bima Yojana 2025–26 of the Rajasthan Government have started.

What is Mukhyamantri Mangla Pashu Bima Yojana
The Rajasthan government has introduced the Mukhyamantri Mangla Pashu Bima Yojana. Under this scheme, 21 lakh milch (milk-producing) animals have been insured, and the most important part is that farmers do not have to pay any premium.
The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial support in case an animal dies due to any disease or natural calamity. For this insurance scheme, the state government is spending ₹400 crore. Cows, buffaloes, sheep, goats, and camels are covered under this insurance.
Last year also online applications were invited, and this year the number of beneficiaries under the budget has been increased. That is why applications are being invited again.
If you could not insure your animals last year, you can apply this year and get them insured.
The selection under this scheme is based on first-come, first-served. The one who fills out the form first will be selected first, and the one who applies later will be selected later.
Note: Insurance will apply only to those animals that are not insured previously.
Who Will Get the Benefit of Mangla Pashu Bima Yojana
All livestock owners in Rajasthan who own milch or other eligible animals like cows, buffaloes, sheep, goats, and camels can take advantage of this scheme. The insurance is valid for one year. The government’s aim is that the sudden death of animals due to illness or disaster should not put farmers in financial trouble.
For example, if a cow or buffalo dies, you will receive ₹40,000. If a goat dies, you will receive ₹4,000 per goat. According to the maximum limit, if you have 10 goats, you can receive up to ₹40,000.

For goats, tag numbers of each goat are required. Tags can be obtained from veterinary doctors.
How to Register Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana Online
- Open Google Play Store on your mobile device.
- Search for the app: type “Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana” and look through results.
- Verify the official app:
- Open the app’s About section.
- Confirm the publisher details show DITC / Government of Rajasthan (or similar official designation) to ensure it’s genuine.
- Install and open the official app.
- Select “Registration” from the home screen options.
- Enter your Jan Aadhaar number in the field provided.
- Request OTP:
- Click to go to the OTP step.
- An OTP will be sent to the mobile number registered in the Jan Aadhaar (head of household’s number).
- Enter OTP and verify:
- Type the OTP you received and press Verify.
- After successful verification, click the Register button.
- Auto-filled details:
- Many personal details will be fetched automatically from Jan Aadhaar. Review them.
- Select location constituencies:
- Choose your Parliamentary Constituency from the list.
- Then choose your Assembly Constituency.
- Choose a nominee:
- Pick one nominee from the members linked in your Jan Aadhaar profile.
- Add supporting card details (if applicable):
- If you have a Gopal Card, select Yes, enter the Gopal Card number and upload its photo (this will be verified).
- If you have a Lakhpati Didi Card, choose that option and follow the same upload process.
- You can upload PDFs or photos, or capture new photos via the camera option.
- If you have both cards, the system gives priority accordingly.
- Add animal details:
- On the next page, select the animal type(s) to be insured.
- Enter the count (how many animals).
- Add each animal’s tag number, age, and milk capacity (if required).
- Upload animal + owner photo:
- Choose Gallery to upload an existing photo or Camera to take a new photo with the animal owner standing beside the animal.
- Make sure the photo is clear for verification.
- Review your entries:
- Click Review to view all entered details on the next page.
- Carefully cross-verify every field (personal details, nominee, card uploads, animal details, photos).
- Accept declaration & submit:
- Tick the checkbox confirming the information is correct.
- Click Submit.
- Note: Submission is final — you will not be able to edit details after this.
- Get registration confirmation:
- After submission you will receive the Registration Number on-screen.
- The same registration number will be sent to your registered mobile number via SMS.
Helpful tips
- Keep the mobile registered with Jan Aadhaar accessible during the entire process so you can receive the OTP.
- Use clear, well-lit photos for cards and animal-owner images to avoid verification delays.
- Double-check tag numbers and milk capacity before submitting — edits aren’t allowed after final submission.
- If you have both priority cards (Gopal / Lakhpati Didi), upload both to claim priority.
