Who Can Apply PM Internship Programme?

Age Requirement: You should be between 21 and 24 years old.
Education Status: You shouldn’t be enrolled in any full-time course.
Employment Status: You must not have a full-time job.
Family Income Limit: Your total family income (including self, spouse, or parents) should be less than ₹8 lakh per year.
Government Employment Restriction: No immediate family member should be working in a government job.

PM Internship Programme Registration Process
To apply for the PM Internship Programme, follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the Official Portal
Go to the official website of the Prime Minister Internship Scheme. Click on the ‘Youth Registration’ option. After this, you will be redirected to a new page.
Step 2: Now, you need to enter your Mobile Number and confirm that the mobile number is unique before clicking on “Submit”. Now, an OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Type the OTP correctly to proceed further.
Step 3: Now, you must create a new password. After this, click on ‘Submit’ to proceed.
Step 4: After logging in with the new credentials, your profile will be displayed. Now, you need to complete Aadhaar based e-KYC by choosing “Aadhaar e-KYC” or DigiLocker. Then, you need to enter the Captcha code and click on the ‘Send OTP’ button.
Step 5 : Enter the OTP you receive and then click on ‘Verify OTP’.
Step 6: Now, you need to complete all the fields in Candidate Profile. You need to add personal details such as your name, D.O.B, gender, father/guardian name.
Additionally, you need to add permanent address and current address details. Make sure you enter all the required fields correctly. You also need to answer whether you are differently-abled or not.
Once done, click on the “Save & Next” button.
Step 7: Now, enter your education qualification. Select qualification, course, name of board/university, name of institute, year of passing, marks obtained and CGPA/Grade/Percentage. Then, you must upload the certificate in PDF format. Once done, click on ‘save & next’.
Step 8: On the next page, you need to answer whether you have an Aadhaar seeded bank account in Yes or No. Then, click on “Save and Proceed”.
Step 9: Now, on the next page, you need to add your skills. You can select multiple skills. Also, you need to enter languages you know, past experience, additional certifications and other details if applicable.
Tick the option at the bottom of the page if you would like the portal to share your details with other govt portal/schemes for various training and opportunities. This is completely optional.
Once you are done with filling all the necessary details, click on ‘Complete Profile’ option.
Step 10: You will get the intimation about successful completion of your profile. You can preview it by clicking on it “preview”. Also, you can edit it if you want.
Step 11: Now, you can go to your profile and click on “Click here to apply for internship”. Select state, district, select and field. Accordingly, you will be able to see the internship opportunities.
Step 12: You can click on ‘View’ to check internship details. To apply for the internship, click on the ‘Apply’ button.
