How to Check 21st Installment Status of PM Kisan Samman Yojana

The Government of India has released a big update regarding the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan). Farmers across several states have already received the installment amount directly into their bank accounts, while others will be getting it before Diwali.

States Where Money Has Been Transferred

According to official announcements, the 21st installment has already been credited to farmers in some states.

• Jammu & Kashmir: More than 8.5 lakh farmers received over ₹170 crore under this installment.
• Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh: Around 27 lakh farmers received ₹2,000 each in their bank accounts. These payments aim to support farmers who suffered crop damage due to floods and landslides in recent months.
  

Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan confirmed that the money was transferred directly through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), ensuring quick relief to the farmers.

Update for Uttar Pradesh Farmers

The UP Agriculture Department has officially stated that the 21st installment will be released before Diwali in October. This will come as a festive gift to the farmers of Uttar Pradesh, as the amount will be transferred into their bank accounts before the celebrations.

Remaining States

For farmers in other states who have not yet received the installment, the government has assured that the transfer will be completed before Diwali or Chhath Puja.

“Update of Missing Beneficiary Information” Option on PM Kisan Portal

A new feature called “Update of Missing Beneficiary Information” has been added on the PM Kisan portal. Through this option, farmers can check and correct their details.

• Enter your Aadhaar number or Registration number.
• Fill in the captcha code and click on Search.
• If the message shows “Record Not Found for Correction” or “It is Corrected”, it means your details are accurate, and you will receive your installment.
• If there are errors, the portal will display an Edit option, where you must correct your information.
  

Common Issues Farmers Face

Many farmers are facing problems because:

• Land ownership details after 2019 are not updated.
• Previous owner’s Aadhaar number (in case of inherited, gifted, or partitioned land) is missing.
• Other details like mobile number, gender, or personal information are incomplete.

Farmers who did not update these details are experiencing delays in receiving the installment. Therefore, it is advised to use this option immediately and correct the data online. Now, farmers do not need to visit government offices; corrections can be done directly on the portal.

Online Process to Check 21st Installment Status 

Farmers could check the installment status directly on the PFMS (Public Financial Management System) Portal.

1. Visit the official link of Pfms
2. select your bank name.
3. Enter your account number instead of the registration number (new update).
4. Fill in the captcha code and click on Search.
5. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
6. Enter the OTP and submit.
7. You will see the details of your previous installments and whether the next installment is approved.
   

Usually, the installment status is approved 5–10 days before the release of funds.
