iGOT Karmayogi is a key pillar of India’s Mission Karmayogi, a national initiative aimed at building future-ready civil servants through continuous digital learning. Launched by the Government of India, this platform functions as a one-stop online learning ecosystem for government employees. It helps them upgrade their knowledge and skills in areas such as governance, technology, leadership, and policy-making, ensuring they are better equipped to serve the nation.

What is the iGOT Karmayogi Portal?

The iGOT Karmayogi portal is a modern e-learning platform designed specifically for India’s public sector workforce. It can be compared to platforms like Coursera or LinkedIn Learning, but with content customized for civil services.

Hosted at https://igotkarmayogi.gov.in, the platform was launched in 2022 under the Department of Personnel and Training. Since its launch, it has grown rapidly, with over 3 crore enrollments and more than 2.2 crore course completions as per recent updates.

The portal is divided into multiple user-friendly hubs to make navigation simple and efficient:

  • Learn Hub: Offers more than 1,600 free, self-paced courses in multiple languages such as English, Hindi, and regional languages. These courses cover a wide range of topics including AI ethics, data analytics, public policy, and financial management.
  • Discuss & Network Hubs: Allow users to participate in forums, webinars, and peer discussions, helping them connect with colleagues across ministries and departments.
  • Career & Events Hubs: Provide access to job postings, leadership programs, and information about upcoming workshops and events.
  • Competencies Hub: Enables users to assess their skills, earn certifications, and build a digital professional profile.

The platform promotes lifelong learning and supports India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Several states, including Haryana, have even made its usage mandatory for employees, such as recent initiatives focused on AI training.

Benefits of Registering on iGOT Karmayogi

Registering on the iGOT Karmayogi portal provides a wide range of benefits that support both personal and professional growth.

One of the biggest advantages is personalized learning. The platform uses AI-based recommendations to suggest courses based on your role. For example, a district collector may receive recommendations related to rural development. Users can earn digital certificates and “Karma Points,” which help track progress and can be useful during performance evaluations.

Another important benefit is skill development. Employees can build expertise in high-demand areas such as digital governance, cybersecurity, and climate policy. The availability of multilingual content ensures inclusivity for users who are not comfortable with English.

The platform also offers strong networking opportunities. With access to more than 30 lakh users across 1.4 lakh ministries and departments, users can participate in discussions, live events, and mentorship programs to gain practical insights.

From a career perspective, it provides a significant career boost. Users can self-attest their competencies for promotions, explore internal job opportunities, and stay updated on various government schemes.

Additionally, the platform is free and flexible, allowing users to learn anytime and from anywhere using mobile or desktop devices. The increasing adoption of iGOT Karmayogi, including recent AI training drives in April 2026, highlights its growing importance in mandatory upskilling.

In the long run, the platform contributes to building a more capable and efficient bureaucracy, enabling employees to contribute meaningfully to national development while advancing their own careers.

iGOT Karmayogi Registration Process

To begin using the platform, users need to register. First, download the iGOT Karmayogi app from the Play Store and open it. If your account has already been created by your department or government, you can directly sign in. Otherwise, you will need to complete the registration process.

Click on the option that allows you to search for your organization. Then select whether you belong to the central or state government. After choosing your state, search for your department and organization, and then select your designation.

Email Verification and Nodal Officer Support

During registration, it is important to enter a valid government email ID (ending with “gov.in”), as personal email IDs like Gmail are not accepted. After entering your email ID, click on “Send OTP” and verify it.

If you do not have a government email ID, you can use the option provided on the portal to contact your nodal officer, who can assist in getting one created.

Mobile Number Verification and Final Sign-Up

Once your email is verified, you need to enter your mobile number and verify it using OTP. After that, confirm your organization details again, accept the required checkboxes, and click on “Sign Up.” Your registration will then be completed successfully.

Enrolment, and Certification on iGOT Karmayogi Portal

After registration, you can log in by going to the dashboard and clicking on “Sign In.” You will have two options: login using a password or login using OTP. It is recommended to use the OTP option for convenience.

Enter your mobile number, request an OTP, and log in using the OTP received on your phone.

Exploring Dashboard and Searching Courses

Once logged in, you will be redirected to the dashboard. From here, you can search for courses using the search bar or explore trending and department-wise courses. You can also find courses based on your interests, including AI-related topics.

Enrolling in a Course

To enroll in a course, simply click on the course you are interested in and then click on the “Enroll” button. After enrolling, go to the “Content” section where all the study materials are available.

Completing Course Content Properly

Each course consists of multiple video sections. It is important to complete all parts of the course by watching each video fully. Skipping or fast-forwarding videos will prevent the system from marking them as completed, and you will not receive the completion indicator (blue tick).

For example, if a video is 7 minutes long, you must watch the entire 7 minutes to ensure it is counted as completed.

Final Assessment and Passing Criteria

After completing all course content, you must take the final assessment. This assessment includes 10 questions, and you are given 10 minutes to complete it.

To pass the course, you need to score at least 40%, which means answering a minimum of 4 questions correctly. After submitting your answers, you can view your result. If you pass, click on “Finish,” and you may also rate the course.

iGOT Karmayogi Certificate Download Process

To download your certificate, go to the “My Learning” section on the platform. Here, you will find a list of all the courses you have completed.

Before downloading the certificate, you must complete a short feedback survey. After submitting your feedback, the certificate will be unlocked, and you can download it easily.

In conclusion,

iGOT Karmayogi is not just a learning portal but a powerful initiative that supports continuous skill development, career growth, and efficient governance. By using this platform effectively, government employees can enhance their capabilities and actively contribute to India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation.
