UP Scholarship 2025-26 OTR ,Registration and Fresh Application

Education is one of the strongest tools for building a bright future, and financial difficulties should never stop a student from pursuing their dreams. To ensure that every deserving student receives support for their studies, the Government of Uttar Pradesh releases the UP Scholarship Scheme every year.

In this post, we will discuss the UP Scholarship 2026. Whether you belong to the General, OBC, SC, ST, or Minority community, and whether you are enrolled in any class or course, this information is very important for you.

Important Update: Starting from the academic session 2025–26, OTR (One Time Registration) has been made mandatory on the Uttar Pradesh Scholarship Portal. Students must complete their OTR first, and only after that will they be able to apply for the scholarship.

This article will guide you step-by-step on how to complete the OTR process, register on the portal, and fill the UP Scholarship Fresh Form online.

How to Do One Time Registration (OTR) for UP Scholarship 2026

Step 1: Visit the Official UP Scholarship Homepage

All fresh candidates must first visit the official UP Scholarship homepage.

Once the page opens, you will see an option named OTR (One-Time Registration).
Without generating OTR, you cannot fill the form. Therefore, every fresh applicant must complete OTR first.

Click on “OTR Registration” to start the process.

Step 2: Mobile Number Verification

A new screen will appear.

1. Select your caste category (General / OBC / SC / ST / Minority).
2. Enter the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar card.
3. Enter the captcha code.
4. Click on Generate OTP.

Enter the OTP received on your mobile and then click on Verify OTP.

Step 3: Aadhaar Verification

After mobile verification, you must verify your Aadhaar Card.

1. Enter your Aadhaar number.
2. Enter the captcha code and click Submit.

Next, you will be asked to verify Aadhaar via DigiLocker.

Step 4: DigiLocker Account & Document Verification

Every student must have a DigiLocker account.
If you don’t have one, click “Don’t have an account? Sign up” and create a new account.

Once DigiLocker is active:

• Add and verify your Class 10th Marksheet in DigiLocker.
• Add and verify your Aadhaar Card in DigiLocker.

This will prevent errors such as “10th authentication failure” that many students complain about.

Login to DigiLocker using your mobile number, password and OTP.
Allow access to share Aadhaar data.

Step 5: Final OTR Generation

After DigiLocker verification:

1. Enter Father’s Name (in capital letters — same as 10th marksheet)
2. Enter Mother’s Name (same as 10th marksheet)
3. Enter your email ID
4. Enter the captcha code and click Submit

Your OTR Number will be generated.
Note it down and keep a printout, because without this number you cannot fill the scholarship form.

Register on UP Scholarship Portal

Step 1: Now return to the official UP Scholarship homepage.

1. Click on Student
2. Select New Registration

Step 2: Choose your category:

• SC / ST / General
• OBC
• Minority

Step 3: Enter the OTR Number exactly as received, and click Submit.

Step 4: Fill the registration form carefully:

• Select District where your college is located
• Select your College/Institute
• Select Caste Category
• Select Religion
• Enter High School passing year
• Select High School Board
• Enter Board Roll Number
• Create a password (6–12 digits) and confirm it
• Fill the captcha and click Proceed Registration

Your Registration Number will be generated — save it and take a printout.

Important — Keep These Two Details Safe

Both numbers are extremely important — never lose them.

Apply for Fresh Application of UP Scholarship 2025-26

Now return again to the UP Scholarship Homepage to fill the UP Scholarship Application Form.

Step 1 — Login for Fresh Application

After OTR and registration:

1. Go to the Student Section
2. Select Login → Fresh

You will see four login categories:

Students of higher-level courses (like B-Pharma, D-Pharma, BA, BSc etc.) must select Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate.

Enter the following 4 details to login:

• Registration Number
• OTR Number
• Password (created during registration)
• Captcha Code

Step 2 — Complete Scholarship Application Form

After successful login, you will see different stages.

First 3 stages must show Green Tick:

1. Registration Completed
2. Registration Slip Uploaded
3. Digilocker Verification Completed

Now move to the fourth stage — Fill Application Form.

Step 3 — Fill Educational Details

Provide all educational information:

• Type of institution (Government / Self-Financed)
• Course name (e.g., Bachelor of Pharmacy, D-Pharma, BA, BSc etc.)
• Course duration (2 years / 3 years / 4 years etc.)
• Current year (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year)
• Minimum eligibility qualification (High School / Intermediate / Diploma / Graduation)
• Entrance exam details (if applicable)
  • Exam name (e.g., JEE, NEET, JEECUP etc.)
  • Counseling/roll number
  • Year of exam
  • Rank obtained
  • Cut-off marks

Next fill:

High School details

• Passing year
• Total marks
• Marks obtained
• Percentage
• Board name

Intermediate details

• Passing year
• Total marks
• Marks obtained
• Percentage
• Board name

If applicable, add graduation details.

Enter the captcha code, tick the confirmation checkbox and click Submit.

Step 5 — Fill Personal Details

In the next section, enter personal details like:

• Disability status (if applicable)
• Type of disability and certificate information
• Certificate number and percentage (if applicable)

Students without disability can ignore these fields.

✔ After submitting all details, your educational and personal information will be successfully saved and your scholarship application progress will move to the next stage.
