Step 1: Open any browser on your mobile or laptop and search for “Online HDFC Bank Service in India”. Click on the first link that appears.
On the HDFC online services page, many services are available like address change, payment checks, PAN update, KYC, checkbook requests, etc. You can do all this from home.
Step 2 : Now, to transfer your account, Select the “Transfer Account” option.
You must have either your debit card or internet banking access to authorize the request.
Note that Fixed Deposits (FD) or Recurring Deposits (RD) will not be transferred—only your Savings or Current Account will be moved.
Also, your new branch should be within the same city as your existing one. If your Aadhaar card has a different address in another state, you first need to update your address.

Step 3: Enter Registered Mobile Number and Identify using DOB, PAN or Customer ID.
Step 4: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
Step 5 : Select the Customer ID linked to the account(s) you want to transfer.
Step 6 : Your customer details like name, account number, and current branch will be shown. Click Continue.
Step 7: Select your new branch from the list shown. The new branch you select must be in the same city as your communication address.
Step 8 : Check the new branch address carefully and select the reason for transfer (e.g., “Branch located nearby”). Now Click on Confirm.
Step 9 : see a preview of all your details. Recheck everything and click Confirm and Continue.
Step 10 : Choose either Debit Card or Net Banking to authorise the transfer request
Step 11 : If using net banking, enter your login details and password.
Once logged in, the “Account Transfer Request Submitted” message will appear.
Your account will be transferred in 2 to 48 hours. You will get a confirmation message and email with a request number. Once the transfer is successful, you’ll see your new branch in your account when you log in.
