Step 1: Visit the Income Tax E-Filing portal of the Income Tax Department.
Step 2: Once you are on the homepage, you must go to the “Quick Links” section and then click on “Link Aadhaar” option. You can also log into the portal and find the option under your Profile.
Step 3: Now, you need to enter your PAN number and Aadhaar number in the required fields. Make sure you’ve entered them correctly and then click on the ‘Validate’ button.
Step 4: Then, click on the ‘Continue To Pay Through E-Pay Tax’ button.
Step 5: In the fifth step, you need to enter your PAN and then confirm it. You must also provide your mobile number to receive a One Time Password (OTP) message. Verify the OTP to move to the next step.
Step 6: You will now be redirected to the e-Pay Tax page. Here, you need to click on Proceed on the Income Tax tile.
Step 7: Then, you need to choose the Assessment Year and select Type of Payment – Other Receipts (500). The amount will appear automatically on your screen. Thereafter, you need to click “continue” and then choose your payment mode.
Step 8: After completion of payment, you must go back to the e-Filing portal and then link Aadhaar card with PAN using the payment details.
After fulfilling all the above-mentioned steps, your request for Aadhaar PAN linking will be sent to UIDAI for validation.
